Sandy Point State Park is the location where we combine wildlife, recreation, outdoor adventure & discovery into one! Children choose
activities based on their own interests. Outdoor camp programs are run at, but not affiliated with, Sandy Point State Park. If your child
wants to plan their own summer camp have them join us! We strive to make all of our programs affordable so everyone can enjoy a
Specialty Camp designed for their interests!  We are parent friendly too! All weeks offered! Weekly sessions! Do not delay, sign up today!

Camp Hours
are Monday through Friday 9am until 4 pm with a free 30 minute window to pick up campers (until 4:30.)
Extended care is available every day from 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. Cost is $30 per session.

Optional Bus Transportation-Cost: $40 p/week [*Two buses w/ 8 locations sessions 2-10, see below for sessions 1, 11 & 12]

New for 2021 we are offering new options that will allow us to group campers not only
by age and interest, but also allow for groups to be created with family members,
friends and by their main activity focus.

Bayside Camp–Ages 4-9yrs.
[Select for 8-9yr. olds only if siblings/friends should be grouped together - some older camper activity options will not
be offered with this program.]  
Children participate in a variety of acitivites throughout the week [chosen Monday mornings out at
Camp] with an emphasis on fun & exploration. Sports (soccer, t-ball, lacrosse & others), kids cooking, ooey gooey science, messy
mixtures, edible art, learn about birds, dinosaurs & fossils, pirates & treasure, arts & crafts, crabbing, & nature activities…to name a

Bayside Ultimate Camp–Ages 7-13yrs.        
Created to provide children a wide variety of acitivites from sports (soccer, lacrosse, golf, football, rollerblading, basketball, baseball),
arts & crafts (cartooning, painting, ect.), science, crabbing, fishing, canoeing/paddleboarding, outdoor cooking, hiking, wilderness
survival, nature activities, water & group games, drama, dance, puppetry and so much more!  

Bayside Camp/Sports Focus–Ages 7-13yrs.    ►10 Weekly Sessions:June 21st–Aug. 20th
Created to provide children especially interested in sports (soccer, lacrosse, golf, football, rollerblading, basketball, baseball) with
more sports centered activity choices, mixed with a few non-sports activities as well, to help create an exciting, high energy, fun,
sports focused week out at camp!

Outdoor Adventure Camp/Bay Focus–Ages 7-13yrs.  ►10 Weekly Sessions:June 21st–
Aug. 20th
Created to provide children interested in nature, wildlife & the water more activity options centered around the Chesapeake Bay-to
possibly include bay, animal & bird studies, canoeing, paddleboarding, seigning, crabbing, & fishing-mixed with a few non-bay
activities as well (e.gs-cooking, sports, art) to create an exciting, unique, fun, memorable bay focused week out at camp!

Specialty Camps have limited availability. Cost listed below is total cost of the camp + optional bus or extended hours fee.

These extensions of our Day Camp program are designed to meet the needs of children who have special interests or are interested in
developing new ones.  Specialty Camp programs now offer a specialty focus combined with other activities.  Price includes camp fee and
all supplies & materials

Fishing/Boating/Crabbing                 Session 5 July 12th-16th              [For Ages 9-15]          Cost: $440
Now in it’s 5th year - Ranger is back again to lead Fishing Camp. If your child loves to fish, this camp is for them. We will spend our days
on or near the water chasing after the big one. Our plan is to spend two days on the Cheaspeake Bay aboard a charter fishing boat and
combine it with trips to area fishing spots. We run rain or shine and the focus is fishing. Other activities will be added as necessary to
keep kids engaed and having fun. Each child will be given a fishing pole to keep, if they need one.

Soccer/Sports/Fitness Camp            Session 6 July 19th – 23rd          [For Ages 8-15]             Cost: $255
While the focus is on soccer, fitness will also be in play. Each day will start with training and skill development. Participants will also help
create a full camp experience by choosing from many of our other camp activities to round out each day. Each camper will receive their
own soccer ball to keep.

Cooking Camp! Outdoor Cook-Off  Session 7 July 26th-30th                 [For Ages 9-15]             Cost: $285
Does your child like to cook?  Do you watch cooking shows with them?  Sign them up for our cooking themed week at camp. We will be
mixing up ‘a lot of fun’, learning as we go. Our Bayside Chopped Challenge is always a deliciously good time.

Nature Discovery [w/ Boat Ride]          Session 8 Aug. 2nd -6th              [For Ages 8-15]             Cost: $285
If your child is one of those “hands on” type that doesn’t just like to see a snake and learn, but wants to pick one up, than our Nature
Discovery Camp is for them. We will spend the week exploring and discovering the natural wonder at Sandy Point. A trip on a
Chesapeake Bay charter boat will be a highlight of the week. As time allows, the campers will have the option to add other activities as
well, to help make this a fun filled week

Teen Leadership Trainee Program-Ages 14-15
…Learning, Teaching, Growing
(Completion of 8th Grade Required)

Held in conjunction with our Outdoor Day Camp at Sandy Point State Park, this program (offered Session 3/June 28th thru July 2nd)
is designed to help today’s teen develop their own sense of responsibility, drive & leadership potential.   LT’s will participate in a
variety of discussions & activities designed to empower & instill confidence, particularly applicable for working in a camp setting, as
a prospective future camp counselor.  LT’s will also be encouraged to participate, assist and possibly lead certain camp activities.  
Every aspect is centered around personal growth & development.  Upon successful completion LT’s may sign up for additional

Specialty Camps – Day Camps for Ages 8 to 15   
Covid Changes

Due to the continued Covid crisis we are limiting group size and interaction. While campers will be grouped by age we will
also be having campers grouped by “like mindedness”. That means siblings can be in the same group with friends and
soon to be friends and create a camp based on their collective interests. They will stay in their own unit group throughout
the week to limit campers interaction with each other. Where we are at with the mandate of mask wearing will be left up to
the State of Maryland Health Department and their recommendation..
